NHL Score Bar Redesign
For the 2008 NHL season, I had the opportunity to lead the redesign of the NHL score bar at NBC Sports, leveraging my expertise as a Graphic Designer, Motion Designer, and Technical Generalist. This project involved updating the score bar to meet newer technical specifications, including conversions to 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios.
A Fresh Look for a New Season
My goal was to create a modern, sleek, and informative design that would enhance the viewer experience. I focused on clean lines, bold typography, and a color scheme that aligned with the NHL’s brand identity. The result was a score bar that effectively communicated game information while maintaining a visually appealing aesthetic.
Technical Expertise
In addition to the design aspects, I also ensured seamless technical integration. I worked closely with the NBC Sports team to guarantee that the score bar was compatible with various broadcast systems and resolutions, providing a consistent look across different platforms.
A Successful Collaboration
This project showcased my ability to balance creative vision with technical expertise, resulting in a successful redesign that met the needs of NBC Sports and enhanced the overall viewing experience for NHL fans.
